| I'm guessing its because they are after thinner and thinner TVs, with less and less frame around them, and there is no technology that can replicate the sound quality of traditional speakers. Similar to how big cell phones are getting. Most think it's because the customer wants a small tablet as a phone, but it's actually because the battery needs to be bigger to support the processing power of modern smart phones. There just isn't the technology yet to cram more battery life in a tiny package.
I just bought a Samsung sound bar with wireless sub woofer(don't get one without a sub), really like it so far. And I could change the settings on the TV to shut off the TV speakers and only use the sound bar. The volume is controlled by the TV or dish remote. You only need the sound bar remote to change to bluetooth. Long story short, it was fairly inexpensive, simple, and really like it so far. | |
