NW KS/ SC ID | I have bought a few items off Big Iron, my best one is my 83 Gleaner L3, very nice shape, well represented.
Worst one was dad bought some harrows. The rep was the consignor of the item. Pre-sale, it was perfectly fine to let it sit for a month or two, as it was well out of the way. Pickup time comes, and he doesnt even recall he sold any harrows. We must not have been the only ones, as that rep has been fired.
Also lost a toolbar, different rep "claimed" he told the main office to call us to remind us. Never got a call from anyone.
Some stuff was not represented well at all, but we bid very low, and so we still come out fine on junk.
So basically it boils down to:
Who the rep is
Who the seller is
What the item condition is
How much you are willing to lose on the item if "percieved" condition does not match actual. | |
