| The only good option at that size is to shove the nuts up and band the sack. Any good method of castration is too much stress and will set the lambs back on gains more than anything you might benefit from castration.
Next question is why castrate? Does your market demand it? For about the last ten years in Iowa there has been no doc on intact lambs. Virtual everyone I know has given it up accept for the club lamb guys that need wethers. I think about it as an all natural implant. | |
