not sure how long ago

but its been a few years ago dad was hauling grain down I72 with our old 68' chevy single axle grain truck and over to the mississippi river to dump on the illinois side of hannibal  missouri    and rolled up on the road leading into the elevator from the interstate and   come around the corner and there sits the DOT with there weigh scales. he jus put on the 12" tip tops and had 28000 for plates.  rolls up there    DOT guy steps back looks up and says u look alright and let him roll right on through               he was easily loaded 31-32000                         big sigh of relief on that day
