Color doesn't really mean anything. There are no industry standards for color vs. type of coolant. You have to look at the specifications. For example a coolant that only meets ASTM D3306 is for gas or dry sleeve engines, a coolant that meets ASTM D6210 has additives to protect against liner pitting in wet sleeve engines, but these additives need to be monitored with test strips and replenished if needed. Cummins filtration has some good info available on the web.
