Genoa, Nebraska | We have run Case tractors for years, from the 70 series to the Magnum's. I don't have any experience with Ford, so I can only comment on the Case side. With those hours, check on the power shift. Most likely it has been gone thru, and if not, make sure all the shifts are smooth and solid when you test drive it. The 504 Case engine is powerful and very thrifty on fuel, and you will not regret having it as a power plant. On the '90 and '94 series, A/C solenoids caused some problems, so make sure it is cold air blowing and the compressor runs. The hydraulics are solid and very capable of running sprayers, planters, ect. I wouldn't be scared to pull it hard, but always power shift down to 1 before hitting the clutch, because this will add years to the life of the power shift. Other than that, solid tractor on the Case side and I am not hesitant to recommend it. | |
