Yes, our 4850 2WD pulls our 1770 front fold just fine. It isnt going to drag it through huge mud holes though, but not really worried about planting in those kinds of conditions anyway. Love the 2WD for a planter tractor, turns great on the ends.
Will a 4850 handle a 16 row planter
