You can be a relatively STO in SW WI and run that kind of equipment! Most of the area is blessed with excellent soils - not all, but most - and yields are phenomenal most years. On our side of the state it's normal to go 4-6 weeks every summer with no rain. Over towards the MS River they tend to get the timely rains. Lake MI here has an effect on storms.
