I was thinking no problem also, till I got to two different points in his post. First being he is talking a "mounted" planter, and second 2-wheel drive. With a good lift assist system, and you don't plan to add all sorts of "extras", it would probably lift it all right. Not sure if your going to be able to steer it tho, even in down position without being a MFWD tractor. You can get alot of side draft when you start getting out 20' from the center.

I have pulled a 16 row planter with a 4850, handled it just fine, but the planter was a pull type, and the tractor was MFWD equipped, with 20 suitcase weights on the front end.
