E SD | "The first check I see gets it" is perfectly fine with me, but tell me that then if that is what you are expecting. If somebody tells you that they are just leaving the yard and they are 2 hrs from your place wouldn't you tell that to other interested party's who stop by or call you in the meantime that they will have to wait to find out if it is still available? I know I have. It is not that difficult to take their numbers and tell them you will contact them if you do not sell the item to the party in route to your place. My same friend drove 5 hrs to look at a silage cutter, got there and it was nicer than he said it was but would not sell it to him(had cash with him) because he told the first caller he had first rights to it just because he called first. The funny part of that situation was the first caller was trying to get financing so he could pay for it. So I guess there are extremes both ways. | |
