southern MN		Years ago on a hot evening grandma and grandpa sat out on the porch to cool off.

They saw everything, chatted with everyone, knew everyone.

If you were a kid you knew your neighbors, they were there on the porch. You knew someone was watching you. You did t want to hurt someone's grandma.

We have lost that contact with each other.

Tv. Video games. Smart phones. And air conditioning.

Law enforcement has said for years, don't do anything, just call 911 and stay out of the way, don't ver interact with anyone. Let others do it.

We have isolated ourselves for half a century.

When we are isolated, we don't know we are hurting anyone, or care.

Grandma isn't sitting on the porch anymore.

Dang air conditioners.
