I use the VA for regular semi-annual checkups and any other routine clinic visits. Never had any problem with a "walk-in" visit.  operations are not done at this clinic and would have to go to Albuquerque for those procedures. I also have Medicare and a supplement policy so  I go to private doctors if needed for that. In the past 20 years I have only had one Rx denied by the VA and that was prescribed by a VA doctor.
