SC Iowa | My wife has had both. First, the band, it was the only thing up to that point that stopped the weight gain, 3-5 lbs a year. I would not recommend it, anyone that has one knows where the restroom is. When eating things can get "stuck" and you will vomit. After several years, 5? the band was removed and she had the "sleeve" done, much better. She has not lost as much weight as I expected but is to an acceptable level and no longer over eats. There were no complications with either one but it took a long time to get the band adjusted correctly. She is a nurse and could answer any specific questions you have. | |
