Subject: our experience

Scottville, 49454 Northwest Michigan

We bought an old Allis dozer about 5 years ago, strictly to pull a Gold Digger tile plow.   It's a model FD30B  that weighs about 75,000 pounds.

It too didn't have hydraulics that we could use to run the tile plow.   Gold Digger, which is now owned by AgLeader, has "stand alone" hydraulic units available to run their tile plows.   These hydraulic units are driven by a small gas engine.   I believe they are priced around five grand.... give or take a couple thousand.

I'm sure their units work fine, but we were able to utilize a drive shaft that we found behind a plate on the back of this Allis dozer to power an appropriate sized hydraulic pump.   We probably have a total of about $2500 into this setup, plus we don't have to deal with keeping gas in the engine of a stand alone hydraulic system.   It's been working fine for us.

So I'm sure you can get your dozer to work for you to run a tile plow.   Good luck with your endeavor.
