Lancaster County, Pa. | I just bought a used 195. Overall I like it. Some things I saw on the 195's I looked at......
-make sure the top cover is not rusted thru on the beater drive gearbox. I looked at one spreader where water ran out of the gearbox when I pulled the check plug.
-crawl underneath and check how rusty the cross members are. I found some spreaders that didn't look too bad until I crawled underneath and found more rust than steel.
-check the bottom of the sides. They tend to rust/wear thru right down next to the floor.
-If the web is worn bad be aware that a new web on the single web model will run you somewhere around.$2200. | |
