western iowa,by Denison | my neighbors run a 185 and 195-some little things that go wrong -they also seem to hang to low to the ground- we use to run 1040 knight spreaders and then a 1140 knight-they have some things perfected that the new Holland didn't-
the double chain in the knight really solved a lot of problems the 1040 had-normal was 1,000 loads a year until we got bigger spreaders-the 185 and 195 spreaders of the neighbors seem to rust faster then the Kuhn knights.
What size is your Dads spreader? Is it a box spreader or slinger?
Lot of helpful information on knight spreader's on line
Auctions seem nuts on manure spreaders
we really like double beaters
