Central MN | I have been using one with card slots and a magnetic money clip for about 15 years now. I carry my drivers license, debit card, credit card and health card. I usually have $40 or less in cash on me but at least some for small things. 2 downsides are if you carry a bigger wad of cash the magnet doesn't hold real well (but it does stay together in your pocket) and I do get some dirt in the card slots which is kind of hard on the cards but I won't use anything else. Anymore the checkbook stays on the desk at home unless I know I am going somewhere I will need it. Mine is made by Columbia.
