North Central Illinois | Similar story here as my dad died in the same year. Hard to believe it has been over 10 years. I really don't miss him much most of the time. He was a great father, but life goes on. I remember him often as I work though. What really got me thinking of him was patching holes in an old gravity box with duct tape and paper sacks to make space for the last of the beans. Back when he was alive, harvest always involved cobbling together every last wagon for temporary storage. | |
