My wife doesn't find the humor in that movie. I usually get a look of disgust if it's on and I'm watching it.
Then she should watch it because it is still around! That movie, in hindsight, is a piece of art. Cost had to have been absurdly low. Its a movie you can watch with you kids, minister, parents. Parts Of that movie will live on forever in pop culture, dont call me shirley for example. It makes fun of everything and everyone taking no sides, picking no favorites. No high speed car chases, no close ups of people shooting each other in the head, no 2 hours of scantily clad young ladies and f bombs just lots of simple humor. For me its pretty easy to just relax and enjoy it for what it is. |
