SW Ohio | the current tradition of playing the "song" on thanksgiving was started by Frank Wood of then Cincinnati's WEBN 102.7 FM fame. Frank took over that station sometime in the late 60's early 70,s???. he was very progressive, played hard rock, alternative stuff right from the start, Sunday mornings were always Frank himself as DJ playing classical-Mozart type stuff. The station itself started many firsts in the radio world. His sons came on the scene and got into the corporate end of things and built a radio empire which I think today is Clear Channel with ties to I Heart, but had several forms over the years.
