Subject: RE: What is a case 1570 tractor

Texas/New Mexico Stateline
I grew up driving 1175s, a 1270, 2390, 2590 and they were all OK tractors. The cabs on the 70 and 75 series were not as nice, and quite a bit louder than the 90 series.

Engines were pretty good on all of them. The 1270 broke a valve, but it may have been the overhead was not set properly when it was overhauled a year or two before. Other than that they were pretty bullet proof.

Oh, and the way the AC compressor was mounted in both series was not the best design, and they have all given problems with broken bolts and stuff shaking loose.
