Nc Ks. | John Deere 60 was my first drilling tractor. Had a 15x8 Oliver drill first year, then upgraded to a JD FB 16x8. That was when JD just came out with the 30 series tractors and the 20 hole 8350 drill that would hold 25 bu. of wheat plus dry fertilizer. I dreamed of owning an outfit like that while popping around on that old 60. Wow how things have changed in 40 some years. Now I wish I could spend an afternoon popping around a field with that old 60 and drill. And one afternoon would be enough, I;m sure, lol.
