Subject: RE: "Hacksaw Ridge" Movie and War Stories

I saw it last night too. Actually thought the first half was better than the second. I'm not a Vince Vaughn fan. Would have cast a Tom Berenger type in his role. I'm not a military tactition, but would seem to me if I knew I had overwhelming numbers, I could wage a battle of attrition. Storm the enemies position and go hand to hand with greater numbers and kill them all. Gruesome way to fight a battle, but it was how battles were fought for many centuries before mechanization. But again, I was never in the military, so don't actually have a clue how battles are fought now. All I know for sure is war is hell, and I can't imagine what it must be like to be in serious combat.
