Precor, like Ben said, is awesome stuff. I have had a commercial Sports Art for about ten years now. Literally thousands of miles with no problems.
Spend the money on something good you will enjoy or save money and hate it and never use it. The cheap way is most expensive.
A TV mounted on the wall is a great exercise aid. I also have my gym in the garage where it is a little cooler.
