Funny thing is I needed some gauge gaskets for an NH3 tank that had been converted to LP years ago and went to get them from a local NH3/LP supplier tell him what I wanted no can't sell them to me unless I have a license until I told him them go on an NH3 tank then no problem here they are, well I will tell you one thing unless you are really dumb and smoking a cigarette while working with LP nothing is going to happen, now NH3 on the other hand that crap can get you even if you are careful obviously the guy above really didn't take any safety measures but the stuff is still really nasty compared to propane.


Funny you mention smoking around looking. The guy that used to deliver ours chain smoked around it. Then he'd use a cigarette to check for leaks.
