south east Indiana | I think there are differences across the country/cultures ect. that make it difficult to have one right answer. Then there are differences in settings - business, social ect.
In business I think it is important to acknowledge each person, definitely include all the women but as others have said they may not extend a hand for a hand shake. Introducing yourself, standing, hat off ect shows respect so I think that is always good - and most people - especially women will appreciate that.
Do what comes natural for you. People know when you are genuine and comfortable that alone will make a good impression.
If you shake hands I like a nice firm/ solid handshake don't act I will break if you touch me or I have cooties. Lots of men are overly 'careful' and personally that woosie handshake does not leave a good impression.
I would think most women working in offices, at businesses would be good with a handshake. I extend my hand to men and most women. | |
