We lost several following the "tetanus is in the black leg vaccine" line that were 5-6 weights.  Never again have I banded one and not given a separate tetanus shot at the same time.  When I go in an get the toxoid I still get the "experts" telling me no need, if they'll pay 150% of every steer lost when not using it I'll listen.

On a side note we had a lot of trouble this year and last with Zeotis IBR/BRD vaccines (one shot and B-gold) not working and even causing pneumonia while calves were still on the cow, which I have never seen before.  Used Inforce on the last bunch and wasn't quite as bad but not great.
