MDARE - 11/12/2016 20:28 I held a high level security clearance and i have never been approved for a weapon on site. They find my clearance and it throws a flag. I have never been denied but it usually takes a few weeks for approval. Kind of the opposite of how i would think it would work.
WEEKS ? Who told you that you were approved weeks later? It's 3 business days to get a Denial, if not you are good to go They have NEVER called us back with an APPROVAL, the few times we get "further review" , they just let it go. We call the person after 3 days , tell them to come pick up their gun.
This is correct. If you do not get a denial in three business days, you're approved and good to go. I have had people that I know were ok get "delays" but they've always been approved. As far as the questions on the 4473 I think most are just to help verify who the person is when they are checking.
