just a tish NE of central ND | I seem to remember being told that that information stays at the gun sales shop by requirenment (at least here in ND)and has to for decades , but doesnt enter a national or federal database untill it is pointed out /searched for/to have been aprt of a theft or crime. Then the shop owner is supposed to dig up the information for investigating the weapon and its sale date..
Correct me if I have this all wrong......
