Only one hand on the rifle and the rifle has a 24 inch harris bipod on it.  3 of the five shots are within a 2 inch group and a fourth is two inches outside that.  During the summer I put five round within a quarter at 100 yards and could only count 4 holes.  Hornady V-max 40 grain.  I'm fairly confident that if I take some time and put it on a bag or sled I can get to four inches.

I'm brainstorming ideas for setting up a shooting range at my place for personal use.  Living in the country is great but its flat as a pancake all around me.  Doing a pistol range is easy.  Rifle is difficult.

I made my backstop for rifles and handguns. And it's portable with tractor loader with pallet forks.
I used good railroad ties, 2 layers thick, and staggered the joints when I stacked them. Used angle iron to make a "cage" at the outer edges for the ties to lay in. Made a "skid" to set it on.
It's about 8 feet wide and 5 feet tall, and about 16 inches deep.
But I still choose the right background to set it up.
Can move it out to 300+ yds, but usually 100-200.
