It's 11:00 a.m. on 11/11/1918. The guns stop firing and an eerie silence falls over the Western Front and for the moment the killing stops. But only for a time. Twenty one years later the guns would pick up essentially where they left off. That war that ended in 1918 was supposed to be "the war to end all wars." Unfortunately, human beings are still human beings and so war continues to be the bane of humanity. Let us remember and honor those who have fought bravely against tyranny and oppression and be thankful for their service and sacrifice.
