SW “Ohia”
Dirtyboots,

Khan's was down in Camp Washington. Heavy industrial area. That plant operated from 1926 to 2006 when Sara Lee closed it down. Everybody says the building was like a maze because of so many additions being added over the years. They were the last large meatpacker left in Cincinnati. Surprising when Cincy was "Porkopolis" for so long.

The old Cincinnati Union Stockyards was right next to Kahn's on Spring Grove Avenue. I have been trying to find photos of the stockyards forever. They closed in December of 1980. Hard to believe there were yards in downtown. I know several people who sold cattle and hogs down there back then. Still several small sale barns out east here.
