Neighbor wants to bale corn stalks and asked me. Never have done it. He is using his disk mower and then raking them. How many net wraps should I put on them?
being you are mowing and rakeing them you can get buy with less wraps then guys useing chopping corn heads. The finer the stalks are cut up the more wraps you will need. You could get by with 2.2 wraps or bump it over 3 to be safe.A lot depends also how they are handled after baleing.Chopped fine with a chopping corn head it takes 4 usually.

These have 3.2 on.
