Northeast Missouri | Chop ice in the pond. Also...
Kerosene heater immersed in a stock tank, that worked by dripping kerosene onto a plate where it burned. On colder nights, had to set the drip rate higher. Sometimes it ran out of kerosene during the night, but you could always fire it up the next day...after crunching through the snow to refill the kerosene tank (only held 2 - 3 gallons)...and with gloves off....frozen hands trying to light matches...other problems. | |
