North of London | in 2003 it took a long time to get all the grid back up and 'stable'.
In '65 ours came back during the night and it was all good after that.
In '03 we got power back in the middle of the night for a while and then it went off again, on again sometime in mid morning and then off again for a couple hours.
some places in Ontario did not get power again until later the next day.
We had a wedding to go to in North Bay, 6 hours drive north, and we delayed leaving until we felt power was OK but went through areas with no power and then next section would be powered up all the way north.
Had to pick a place to eat and fuel up as first choices were in the dark.
Where we stopped to eat they had about 2 choices on their menu because they never knew when the power was going out again so only quick prep foods available. | |
