But why now. Injection wells have been widely used since the 30s. Very few of these go to extreme depths. Most run from 4-6000 feet. Injection well use was heavy in the 70s, yet no major earthquake concern. Also take a look at dallas county that has not allowed any drilling. Can you explain the spike in earthquakes there with no injection sites or wells.

Can drilling, mining, water pumping and injecting cause minor tremors - maybe. The big ones though are coming from way to deep and are to powerful to have been caused by man.
