| The local K-Mart used to send out newspaper flyers with the "blue light specials". I was just starting farming, and didn't have a rifle. Saw a Marlin 22 advertised in the flyer. I think it was $29.95.......WITH a scope. Never could get the scope "sighted in" accurately, so took it off and discarded it. But the rifle is good. Still have it. Semi-auto. Keep it clean and it works reliably. Quite accurate. Been bouncing around behind the seat of about 6-8 pickups since then. That was about 45 years ago.
Seems to me that it wasn't all THAT long ago that McDonalds was advertising a burger, fries and a coke......AND change back from your dollar. Doesn't happen now. showboat | |
