Can I ask why you cant just downshift one at a time to like 10th gear when coming up to a stopsign with the throttle idled back? Then roll thru the stopsign n like 9th or 10th gear, am I missing something that is the way we were taught to drive a PS from the old 8spd to the new ones.

you sure can and will work just fine, but for a 1st time driver if he would have to stop completly with a heavy load i will be the "saver way",especally if its a real load.
