Subject: RE: Dumping on the Go

Washington Co Ks
When I got old enough to drive I hauled grain with a pickup while Dad cut with an AC66 pull type combine. We put 3 dumps on the pickup. Dad would cut a bin full while I was gone and dump it into a wagon. When I got back he would have another bin full that we would unload on the go. I would then back up to the wagon and scoop what was in the wagon into the pickup. By then Dad had another bin full and would pull up to the truck and unload and I was off to the races again. One year the truck was using oil and I would put 2 qt. of oil in every second load. We had several containers filled with 2 qts. of oil in the morning and I would stop and add without checking the level and go again. I wouldn't think of doing that now. That old 53 Chevy really took a beating but hung in there for years.
