I have done a lot of tube type tires over the years. I have never pinched a tube that has some air in it. I have pinched tubes that are flat. Iprefer to just fill the tube with air to the point that it is not streched at all. I also agree with the guys that suggested airing the tire up to seat the beads and then deflating and reinflating.
