Paradise KS | Were at 1500 acres with 150 cows. Just my dad I most of the year and I also do custom soil sampling. My dad is close to 70. It can be done but it's starting to wear on us. Not everything gets done, pastures require a lot of maintaining. Fences, trees, ditches, corrals all need kept up and it seems they are first to get neglected. I have two brothers that help a few Saturday's a year but as their kids have gotten older they always have something going on. It seems like we could have two more full time guys but we can't hardly make enough to pay ourselves. | |
