mascoutah, IL | We have done quite a few cruises over the last ten years. Really enjoy them. Get to see 3-4 islands on a 7 day cruise. We are not big drinkers either. At most we might have one or two per day but could do without it also. Lots to do on a ship also. Biggest thing with a cruise is planning your port days before you ever leave. Only get about 8 hours in port. It will go by quick. Matter of fact I got vetoed by the wife on my skiing vacation during the kids Christmas vacation and now am headed on another cruise instead. Funny how that works.
Also if you are trying to save money, cruises are very cheap after Christmas. We usually go in January but didn't want the kids missing so much school as they are getting older and it's harder to make up the work so I had to bite the bullet and pay about 33% more.
