Lately my computer started displaying a popup from MS informing me that my update to Office 365 - subscription software - was ready to active. The screen gave me two choice, something like "do it later" and "buy". No option to decline.

One morning at 4 a.m. I went into chat mode with MS. The guy said that other people had complained and he did not have info about what to do to terminate the offers. I'm quite content with Office 10 and don't need any new adventures in software.

I think I've seen the popup one time since then, but nothing in the last couple of days.

My mother's computer (she's 92) seemed to have been auto-updated from Win8.1 to Win10. That pushed me into making some workarounds so she could easily access her email and web screens, which are the only two places she goes.
