| I have an online friend from Connecticut and she found out her mother put a treadmill on Craig's list for $100. Within an hour a guy from TX called her and bought it. He told her he would send her a bank check, which he did for $1820. She contacted him and he told her to go ahead and cash it and the rest was for the movers that would pick it up. She asked him if he trusted the movers. He said that is true, so she should deposit it in the Bank of America movers account. She didn't know where that was, so he gave her directions and said to keep $20 for her trouble. She did it and of course it was a scam and she lost all that money. It is hard to have to tell your parents not to be so trusting. Hard lesson learned. | |
