| Maybe Washington is different because of the climate, but a paver patio will be much harder to keep looking nice than a composite deck "here". Freeze/thaw over the years make pavers settle uneven. Weeds will constantly try to grow between the pavers requiring maintenance.
I have an elevated trex deck with a staircase down to a paver patio. Looks nice and is kind of the best of both worlds, but the pavers don't stand up without maintenance as the deck. | |
