I have a 9760 with contour master and a 974 Macdon flex draper. I only use the contour master for getting through gates and around other objects. However I also have a 1293 corn head and not sure if I could use that in my rough ground without contour master, especially crossing waterways and etc. Can't help you with the RWA question.
