We usually rent a condo at vrbo.com.  Hotels are cheap there so choose what you like.  We like Six, Pierce Arrow, Moses and take the behind the scenes tour for $5 more.  The Dixie Stampede is ok and the Branson Bell paddle wheel boat too.  If you like the Blues Brothers they are good too.  Haven't gone to Dogwood Canyon Park yet, but will on our next trip.  Springfield has the best Bass Pro Shop, lots to see in there.
