nebraska | I had some hay like yours. No weeds, but got rained on, dried some, rained on again. The hay was sort of black in color. The sun finally came out for a week and baled it good and dry. Cows would not eat it. Let it set for years till the drought of 2012. Had to bale lots of corn stalks. Figured the cows would make a mess trying to feed them. Hired a hay grinding truck. Put everything I had in it, including the hay like yours, Ground some good hay,and CRP. Cows ate it well. | |
