I hear Vortex is good for the money. I would try out any binoc in person before buying. Different brands and models seem to fit different people. And a good test is to take the ones you like outside at dusk - with the sales person of course - and try it out. Poor ones get really bad in low light, good ones you can see more than just your plain eyes in low light.
