Just had mine done a year ago. It still costs your own dime to get the multi-focal lenses but it was the best investment I've made. I can see distant better than 20-20 and I can read close to really close without glasses. It still helps to use light reading glasses here at the computer. But at least when I'm done I just through them on the desk and they are ready when I return. I really, really didn't want to be keeping track of reading glasses all day working outside and in the shop.
